TRAINING FOR PRIVATE CITIZENS, MILITARY AND LAW ENFORCEMENT
Our focus is on fundamentals and dynamic instruction. Each course is designed to instill the proper “Operator’s Mindset” in our members and other students. They are challenged both mentally and in dexterity. Our goal as instructors at VX is to provide the tools for each of our members and other students to discover their limitations but to also break through those barriers as they mature with solid, consistent growth, becoming true professionals.
Our program consists of 10 levels of training for each platform (Tactical Pistol, Tactical Carbine, and Precision Rifle). Each level consists of two parts. Part I is focused on introducing a new skill-set. Part II is focused on solidifying that skill-set with scenario-based drills. Each Course is 3-4 hours in duration, depending on the class size.
New Student Packages
New students follow a strict curriculum (described below), stacking fundamentals upon fundamentals to create a solid foundation. Because each successive course builds upon the previous courses, students must show proficiency before being allowed to progress to the next course. If a student has to re-take a course, one of their purchased courses needs to be used.
4-Course Package (single platform only) – For Pistol and Carbine, you will learn the fundamentals of manipulating your weapon and making accurate shots at various angles, and how to shoot on the move. For Precision Rifle, you will learn the calculations associated with making long-range precise shots and how to make these shots from a prone position, and you will begin to learn how to shoot from other positions.
8-Course Package (two platforms allowed) – 4 Courses will be applied to one platform of your choice (Tactical Pistol, Tactical Carbine or Precision Rifle), and the remaining 4 Courses you can choose to be applied to one of the two remaining platforms that you have not trained on yet.
12-Course Package (three platforms allowed) – 4 Courses applied to Tactical Pistol, 4 Courses applied to Tactical Carbine and 4 Courses applied to Precision Rifle. You may choose in which order of platform you would like to begin with. The 12-course package is the best pathway to receiving a Tier I Membership offer as we encourage our students to become well-rounded on all platforms.
Students also may have the option to attend our Special Events in between their regular training sessions by using course credits or paying for the event individually (usually $150 to $200). Special Events include among others: Trauma Care Training, Combat Swimming, Accuracy Workshops, Night-time Shoots, Mindset Training, Survival Swimming, 1,000-yard Data Shoots, Night Vision Shoots, Shotgun Training, Land Navigation Training, Critical Field Skills, Hand-to-hand Combat Training, and Competitions.
